RSVP to the Latinx Success Center, 4th Annual Welcome, “Rooted Together – Our Community, Our Future” 

Volunteer at the 4th Annual Welcome – Join us in giving new and continuing students a warm welcome to UCLA!

Join us on Tuesday, October 14th, from 4 pm – 6 pm at Wilson Plaza for an afternoon filled with community, connection, and celebration as we close National Hispanic Heritage Month. The program will feature delicious food, entertainment, a resource fair for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to network, and special remarks from campus leadership. The event is free and open to the public.

Please note: Photography and videography will take place during this event.

Every fall quarter, the UCLA hosts an annual bienvenida (welcome) event for new and continuing undergraduate and graduate students, where they can connect with current students, staff, faculty and alumni. The event aims to accomplish the following:

  • Send affirming and welcoming messages to all students and their families
  • Increase student’s knowledge of campus-wide resources, organizations and opportunities
  • Foster self-efficacy and community-efficacy
  • Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month
